Play Coins are an in-game currency for the Nintendo 3DS which can be used to buy items, game modes, or characters in certain games. They are earned by taking 100 steps per coin when a 3DS system is closed but still in Sleep Mode. A maximum of 10 coins a day can be earned, and only 300 can be held at one time.

Find Mii / StreetPass Quest Hiring wandering heroes 2 per hero
Find Mii 2 / Street Pass Quest II Hiring wandering heroes, old heroes and buying potions.

Wandering heroes cost 2 coins each

Cost is 2 coins greater than old hero's level

Vial of Valor costs 8 coins

Power Potion costs 20 coins

Dispellin Drift costs 2 coins

Bottle Barrier costs 2 coins

AR Games Buying extra games or tools

Archery 2 costs 3 coins

AR Shot 2 costs 3 coins

Clock costs costs 1 coin

Globe costs 1 coin

Fish Gallery costs 1 coin

Free Fishing costs 3 coins

Camera costs 1 coin

3D Tools costs 1 coin

Swapnote Buying extra features

Adding recording from your 3DS Sound costs 15 coins

Adding photos from another person costs 10 coins

Adding sound from another person costs 10 coins

Adding new stationary costs 5 coins each

Pokémon Rumble Blast Inviting customers to shop 10 per each new skill
Sonic Generations Buying new missions or mission bonus

5 per each mission

Face Raiders Buying new levels

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers Buying demons and upgrading Nemechi 15 D-Souls per play coin
Shin Megami Tensei IV Being revived after death Starts at 8 play coins per revival. Cost is determined based on number of party members and levels of party members
