Dream Trigger 3D is a game developed by Art[1] and published by D3 Publisher for the Nintendo 3DS.

Gameplay[]

The game mixes gameplay elements of bullet-hell shooters and music games. The player moves a character on a 2D play field on the top screen, while a "rhythm bar" proceeds across the screen from left to right with each measure of the background music. Invisible enemies move across the play field in set patterns, firing projectiles. The bottom screen shows a map of the play field where enemies are visible as icons. The player can mark areas of the map; these marks act like sonar pings when the rhythm bar passes over them, revealing enemies and exposing them to attack. The player can then hold the attack button to become briefly invincible and eliminate enemies.

At the end of each level, a mini-boss is fought, which must be "pinged" multiple times to become vulnerable to attack.

After clearing a level, the player earns points which can be used to move about the branching world map and access new levels, eventually leading to boss levels.
